Its coming to the end of February already…wow! A what a fun packed month. After the fun and games of the PADI IDC drew to a close, we headed into some fun MSDT classes. The shark conservation course was a first this year for the center and with 7 students on the course we all had good fun. With Cano island nearby we are lucky enough to be able to dive with groups of sharks, and even locally we can see them. On our recent trip to Geos ridge in Manuel Antonio we saw a couple of white tips as well as our regular reef critters which was even more fun! This coming weekend I am finishing up some Deep and search and recovery instructor specialties before moving into some more technical classes. With the ocean as blue and calm as it is, it is the perfect time to go deep diving. Over the month of March I am working on another Tec Deep class, as well as a Tec Deep instructor course, so some serious diving going on. With spring break coming up, it is the perfect time to go scuba diving and try something different so we are running some promos at the shop for the spring break crowd.
Freediving is definitely something I want to be doing this month and through April whilst the water is so nice for it I will be jumping in the water for some fun trips. There is some awesome wildlife to be seen with no bubbles blowing so why not. I just need to work on my technique a bit for sure. Being out of practice doesn’t help but it won’t take me long to get back in. I am also already starting the countdown for the next IDC as well which will start in April. Last instructor program before high season ends. Crazy to think that when it seems like only last week high season was just beginning!
